An Invitation...

These are cards that I did as an invitation for a brunch that my parents are hosting in a couple of weeks... coming off the distressing class I thought it would be fun to use that technique. I also came across these stamps from Stampin Up that I had bought a few years ago... there is a third with grapes...they worked really well with the various embossing powders to really bring out the image!
Oh... I really do love all these techniques that I've been learning!

Vintage Valentine Class

On Saturday Heather and I took the most fabulous class at Absolutely Everything... I am so lucky to FINALLY have a scrapping/ stamping store that just feeds my hobby! Kate (the owner) taught the class. We used all sorts of distressing techniques, embossing with multiple colors, used crackle paint, masks and overall had a great time! I have uploaded 3 of the 5 cards that we did... the 'post card' was my favorite, but I also love that cherub stamp! On that we did a few embossing powders. Finally I uploaded the one with the 'love' stamp... I had to get that stamp b/c it was too cute!

I spent about 4 hours last night playing with all my supplies... needless to say, I've been stocking up on all the distressing inks, distressing embossing powders and new stamps! We had a ball shopping after the class... we didn't have as much time, but we still did some damage! I'll upload some of the cards I've been working on later.
